Yes of course.

The mountains of Utah get alot of snow, but other parts can be dry and mild.

Salt Lake Cities climate is very mild in the fall, simlar to that of The mid atlantic states. Plenty of time for soccer and outdoor activities.

The best way to experience the diverse landscapes of Utah is by walking through them. Utah has some very remote areas that are accessible only to serious backpackers, but routes to other stunningly beautiful scenes are merely "pleasant walks." You'll find that once you get off the beaten path on foot, or even on horseback, Utah's mountains and deserts will "open up" for you in unexpected ways. And don't forget mountain biking and ATVs. There are five prominent hiking regions: Wasatch Front, Northern Mountains, Dinosaurland, Great Basin, and Red Rock. Check the included link for more information about these regions.
