I have an old dog and he is just stinky no matter how much we wash him. I have a sectional that still looks nice but even if I Febreze it or take the covers off (the butt cushions zip off, but the back cushions do not) and wash them - that works, but in a day or so the doggy odor is back. Do I need to burn the couch or does anyone have any ideas?

Get a bottle of Nature's Miracle at any pet store and spray that on the affected area. If you get a large bottle, you'll have to buy a separate spray bottle. Otherwise the smaller bottles are spray bottles.
Nature's Miracle has an enzyme in it that breaks down organic compounds. Just spray it heavily on the area and let it dry. It leaves a light citrussy smell. It's also great for pet "accidents", too. Just pour it on the affected area, leave it set overnight, and sop up the excess with a towel. Then let it dry and the smell is gone.
