get into by a driving school?
This doesn't answer my question. I asked what is the fitness test required to be recruited by a drving team? The 40 yard dash is used in football, what is the fitness test for race car driving? I meant there is a 40 yard dash to get recruited into the NFL. Ever watch the NFL Scouting Combine? "The test is how fast someone can drive a race car" But you need a license or permit to hop into the car. You people are obviously ducking the quaestion. Tom P, what is the standard for the stress test?

there is no fitness test required to get into any sport, moron, including football
the 40 yard dash is used as a measuring stick of a college players speed at the NFL combine every year, but it is certainly not a requirement, as many college players choose to skip the combine, as LSU defensive tackle glen dorsey did this year, but that will not stop him from being a top 5 pick in saturdays draft. in auto racing, the measuring stick is how fast somecan can drive a race car and how well they handle the car in traffic, same difference.

They get in a car, that exceeds 120 degrees almost every race, they can't make the tiniest mistake or it may mean death. They lose pounds from every race and have to be hooked up to a I.V after most races. Those cars don't have power steering and they are forced to drive them at almost 200mph for hours. I wanna see you try that.
