A bachelors degree in Business Administration would mean you would take the required classes at the business college within a university, as well as numerous elective courses to supplement those that deal specifically with business admin. Generally, classes at a business college will fall under the categories of finance, marketing, administration/ management, etc. and you take courses under each, so you would take courses on the stock market, on financial institutions, business law, human resources/ management, as well as higher math and english courses.
A business admin. degree gives you broad access to many of the jobs within the business world. You could be a middle manager in an office, or work as a consultant, be a financial manager, do accounting and human resource work, etc. Most business degrees will allow you a number of options so far as jobs go. A MBA is the masters degree you get after a bachelors in the business field, and it generally prepares you for a higher position within a company where you would have to give direction and make decisions that directly impact the company. Having one could lead to promotions, a higher salary, more responsibility and power, etc.
