I've tried Mambo, and several others. Nothing impressive.
Site idea: I killed my old forum and it will now just be a playground, I post things I code (programming), my literary writings, my photography, and a blog. Suggestions? : D Wordpress is too blog like. That's why I hated Mambo (which is closely related to Joomla) Billy: I do have my own domain and host. Content managment if you've put up a Web page on a free Web page server or ISP you've had access to a rudimentary content management system.

I think you try to used Drupal, it is more on Programming unlike Wordpress and Joomla which is more on blogging.
