How do I look at the contents of an email folder in the new Yahoo email?

How do I look at the contents of an email folder in the new Yahoo email?
In the new Yahoo email tool, I can't seem to look at the contents of an email folder by simply left-clicking on the folder. I have to right-click, which brings up a menu, and then the contents are displayed. But then I have to click somewhere else to dismiss the menu.
Why doesn't a simple left-click on the folder let me see the contents? Thanks! :-)
