I need a website for this online magazine, probably will store a lot, and we suck at coding...so we will need an online CMS, like drupal, to help us out.
We are on a limited budget. I've heard there's free hosting out there, and you just have to pay for the domain name, comes out to $6/year. Anyone know the names of any reliable hosts that fit this description - or close to this description? $13/month is way too expensive. Like I said I'm looking in the $6/year range. Why would I need that many domains, if I'm only creating ONE website?

LOL that other guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Here, let me help ya out. Drupal's a group program, you should also seriously consider WordPress =) What you'll need is a domain name. Go over to http://AletiaNIC.com and register for a domain name. You can see what's already available and what you can register. They'll also give you recommendations if your domain name is taken. Their pricing is awesome...about $10 for a whole year! Then you're going to need hosting. And I've found (from personal experience) that JaguarPC is TOP-NOTCH. For your site, you'll just need the shared hosting (GIGADEAL) -- here's the link --- http://tinyurl.com/5qey7r ----but wait, there's more. Register today (or until April 31th) and you can use this coupon code == "endless2008" and receive 15% off the monthly price, FOR LIFE! So that comes out to $5.07 a month!-YOU WILL NOT GET A BETTER DEAL THAN THAT! =) Good luck in all of your endeavors and if you need help, email me at virtual134@gmail.com Let me know how it goes.

I use Page-Zone. Page-Zone has a lot of features and they have dru-pal all set up and ready to go for auto-install (others like wordpress, geeklog, etc are ready too).
Hosting 5 domains costs IIRC $13.00/month, if you want to host up to 125 domains the cost is about 2x that. That includes a fair amount of bandwidth, access to MySQL and PostGress, PHP, perl, etc etc etc. Page-Zone has gone through some rocky patches but of late they have been very very dependable.

Hi,
I can fully recommend Hostgator Web Hosting. If you only need 1 website they have an account that would be ideal for you at just $4.95 per month! I have used Hostgator as my web host for over two years now and have been very very impressed with them. Firstly they're very cheap but still give me more web hosting space and bandwidth than I'll ever need and a 99.9% uptime guarantee and great customer support. You can find them at http://www.webhostgator.info I hope that helps.
