Default HTML css <div> question: how to make div like the contents one in wikipedia?

i want a div for my table of contents for a long article, relatively or absolutely i'm not sure which one, positioned inside the text
like i wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance contents where it is written hide.
Also, what is the technique to make it hide or appear upon click
