Default Which design software programs are used (print and web) mostly by graphic...

...designers/desktop publishers today? I was a designer/desktop publisher 4-5 years ago but changed careers for a while. Now I would like to get back in. Which specific programs should I brush up on the most, and which update are each of them on now?
In other words, when I was designing last, it was Dreamweaver, Flash (MX?) Photoshop 7, Illustrator 10, Quark Xpress 4 (I think). Which updates/releases do designers use today the most? And since I don't have these design programs at home, where could I go to brush up on these programs.

Those were the versions of all those programs I started off w/ as well. Stick w/ the same programs, just the newer ones. People usually tend to stick w/ familiarity. Photoshop & Illustrator are still used by the majority, so brush up on your Adobe skills, which shouldn't take long, since you've already got a good basic knowledge from the older versions. Hope this helps and good luck!
