Default I need some design software!

The firm I work for has offered to purchase some design software. This is something that I have little experience of, as up to now I've literally hard coded everything using notepad, paintbrush and content that clients have submitted to me directly. This means that my sites have so far lacked 'rich' design content. Bu hopefully that will change with this investment!

I am tempted by Dreamweaver, but there are so many different packages to choose from at varying costs:

Design Premium, Design Standard, Web Premium etc etc etc

Please could someone offer advice on what I should choose? Is Dreamweaver the right option or am I looking in the wrong place?

I want to be able to add exciting, rich, colourful content/images to my sites. That is the aim...

You can get what the market will bear. In most cases, you are better off keeping it, because you will be sorely disappointed with what you get for it.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 is the best web site development software/tool available today. If you are a professional web designer looking for a rapid application tool to design web sites, this is your best bet. This tool generates HTML code for you, (so you don't have to be an expert HTML programmer to develop a web site!). Cool stuff possible using Dreamweaver includes rollovers, css styles, server side includes, templates and much more.
