Default TV Tuner card/Cable question

I have the cable line plugged into the TV in.

As of now I have the digital box unplugged and set aside. I have it just run through a normal splitter. I then set up my card to scan for Digital ATSC as well as Analog signals.

For Digital ATSC it picks up 8 channels. All channels are in the thousands (1172, 1171, 1031, 1571, 1101, 1102, 1103, 1291)

Then it brings me to the analog tuner setup. Source is set to cable (instead of cable HRC or antenna). it starts scanning channels 1 to 125. but it doesn't find anything.

Any idea how to get this to work?
