I was having issues with my Phenom 2 550 that was unlocked, wasn't sure if it was my ram (OCZ Blade 1066). After running memtest it was pretty clear it was the OCZ. Thankfully even though it's been over a month, the store exchange the ram for another set of OCZ 4gb but Gold 1066. Take it home and install it tonight, set the CPU to locked and default speed to rule anything else out, run memtest, and again! errors with this new set of OCZ ram... And I've made sure the cpu is running at stock along with everything else.
Time for some corsair... except I don't know if I can exchange this stuff again. *Update - If I run the ram at 800/5-5-5-15 and 1.8V even though it's advertised as 1066 2.1v, I don't get any errors in memtest and the intel burn in passes. |
