Default What are the laws about companies disclosing personal info?

I used my moms credit card to pay for a friends vehicle repairs. she found out and agreed to pay as long as i pay her back (which im in the process of) now she got suspitious about whos car it was and went to the place it was repaired and they tol her his name and licence plate number. im the one who used the card and signed for the payment. Can he get in trouble for any of this?
yeah yeah i been through this whole repentence thimg.. i dont do that stuff anymore but the thing is my friend didnt know that it was being used fraudugently and she did know what it was used for shes just intrested in which friend becuase me and him dated and she wants him in jail. but she already said she would'nt press charges on me and ive already paid her enough to cover the car charges im just still paying her for other charges i made.
he is 22 and im 17. BUT HE DIDNT KNOW SO HOW COULD SHE SAY HE ENTICED ME TO DO ANYTHING!! that would suck so bad because he has no clue.
i know that i can get in trouble. i dont care how much trouble i get in, as long as he doesn't. she already agreed not to press charges...we wrote out an agreement and signed it. i just didn't want her to get his phone number and adress and start harrasing him.

Well, for starters, you using your mother's card is illigal. It's not your card. That's fruad outright. Second, it's your mom's card. So she can ask for any info regarding her transaction she wants.

You using the card and signing for it was illigal for starters so the game is up, hun. All bets are off.

Although the terms of use on a credit card revert this to the card holder responsibility statement- she could charge one or both of you with credit card fraud- dispute the charges or site identity theft and since she paid for the services she is entitled to this information. I would say you and your friend need to pay your own bills and quit trying to stick your mom for bad decisions. and quit stealing her credit for your friends benefit.
