Legal Question?
Case 1
A group of youths entered a vacant apartment to finish drinking their beer. They locked the door behind them with a chain lock. A caretaker noticed their presence and when they refused to let him in he called the police. All but one of the youths, named John James, ran away. i) Is this a case of public law, private law, or both? Why? ii) Which sub-classification is it? iii) Where would the case be heard and why? iv) How would the case be cited? v) What would be the outcome of the case? vi) What kind of damages would you award if any, and how much?
