I totally resent the implications in this question as it is obiviously a question desighed too discredit President Bush who I consider the best President since Teddy Roosevelt who had the motto"speak softly and carry a big stick" Bush is the only President since then who had the guts too defend our country when it was attacked on 9/11. For this he should be considered a hero and the Democrats that have done their best too demean him both as a person and as a President just too get elected should be tied too a rail and sent directly too Iraq so that they can see first hand what our brave soilders are fighting for over there. I just got back from my tour of duty and found that the Iranian people not only welcomed our help but consider us heros.

That was the 4th Amendment, if you are American.
There are new laws; however, that have opened up the free flow of information for the purpose of creating a kinder, gentler america with a seemless web of services--the two laws that come to mind, are the Freedom of Information Act, and the Privacy Act. Both of which, have different response times based upon the flow of information: a) citizens have longer wait times for a response, if there is one. b) the government has immediate access to individual records; via the new laws. c) networkers have immediate access; as well as the ability to violate privacy, and be charged with 'snooping' instead of actual Constitutional violations. As modern society has progressed, in order to establish a more open society, the flow of information and it's speed have changed.
