What state are you in? If you are in state "Protective Services" custody, or simular agency, because your parents are not able to care for you, you should already have an attorney appointed to represent your interests. If you are in state's custody because of some crime you did it may not be possible to be released until the state had determined you are not a danger to yourself or the community.
It can be complicated if you are in care because of neglect or abuse by your parents is you are trying to go live with a relative in another state, but it is possible, even desireable. The state will have to conduct a home study to be sure that you will be safe if you are allowed to live with aunt ta. Even in the same state there will have to be a home study, and these can take 30 days or more depending on if there is a caseworker in the agency to go out and conduct the study. If your aunt has had criminal problems, or had children placed in custody for any reason it might turn out that she would not be approved as a placement for you. Good Luck
