different name?? I want to purchase a product from a manufacturer, but market it under a different name. Can anyone suggest how I would go about making a proposal to the company for such a venture?

this business model is called selling under private label - in a nutshell you order the manufacturer to produce a certain number of items stamped with your brand or no brand.
in the purchase request letter you have to specify quantity, and custom features as you wish them to be made; the manufacturer may request from you specific conditions on where you can/cannot sell and maybe some additional business restrictions.
