Default My 401k is held by Nationwide. If nationwide goes bankrupt, is my 401k safe?

I understand that the investments I have invested in can lose money, but what happens to the account if the company that holds the 401k goes bankrupt?

is the end and you will sad because you lose your money.
because i heard many investement company bankrupt..so we must be aware for invest our money.
