Yes! Somewhere along the line it was dropped as unnecessary. I also believe that basic cooking should be taught as well. Today's Seniors are unprepared for real life when they walk out the door. High school was the start of your life when I graduated. Nowadays, it's just a place to put in your time and look at myspace pages. Reality has a way of slapping you when you can't live at home. By the time I was 21, I had been in the service for 4 years and was married.
