resource management? I live close to Huntsville ,Al. It is full of defense contractors, the Redstone Arsenal, etc. I am interested in having a government job. Would I be better served with a major in human resource management or general management? Of course, I know H.R will often involve staffing, training, etc. But I definitely dont want a job in retail or anything like that. Which major is more versatile and will bring me better options? Which major will generate more income in the long run? My husband is wanting to take management of technology ,but not sure its for me. Isnt that dealing with a lot of technical computer stuff?? Just looking for thoughts. I know I am interested in a Business degree(but not Finance or Accounting) Give me your thoughts.
Thanks

major(s) and Minor(s) are like left hand(s) and right (hand(s). You need to select a pair which will compliment each other. The major is not always the most important. it depends on whether your balance is important , or if your topic is important! You would also want to correlate with your husband and his major and minor, to find a balance there also. if the two of you correlate, and balance corectly, your journies into yourselves can be very enlightening, suportive, and self promoting, and progressively profitable.
I personally believe college is overrated. I believe a self can teach a self best, and be more versatile. I as a master researcher, research many topics in overlapping projects. (MULTI-TASKING MY OWN EDUCATION)! This allows me to finish a topic about every week, even though i have been studying it for three years.
