Default router connections?

i am trying to connect a D-Link DK7-710 to the internet with the HELP of the installation disc i only got as far as (the ethernet cable is not connected properly i have used there own cable,other cables i have spare,but i get the same answer i have looked at the manual, it says get in touch on the internet,when i get on the internet i wont need them, codger.

router configuarations can be done only if you are expert in networkink you may contact the network company or you check the cables crimping and all
