Is there some sort of active GUI based IE plugin or application that can take my internet connection and map it out showing me where exactly my packets go from here to wherever they end up?
Like, something that will show from street level or at least closest hub and from there out? Would be interesting to see if I am online at a particular site or playing a game exactly physically where does the data travel to and from and on whose networks it travels upon. thanks |

Internet mapping will help you to traceroute-style paths to some large number of networks. Data analysis are becoming more sophisticated with the help of Internet Mapping

I would recommend Google Maps ( maps.google.com ) or Windows Live Local.
