I have been a coldfusion programmer for about 6-7 years. I loved the work, i was dedicated to doing great work.
But sadly, have had periods of time, where it was just impossible to get a job, either because I didn't fit a specific niche, or didn't have experience that was impossible to get unless you were trained or given the experience... So i have periods of time with no jobs on my resume, I have tried converting into a functional resume, so as to show what work I have done... Plus I have been fired a number of times, with no explanations, no reasons. Which has caused me to be very frustrated and cynical about being employed again. In the off time, this current period of being unemployed for about 7-8 months, I have been learning php, mysql, apache and am studying drupal a content management system. I live in minnesota, i would not mind working at a lower salary to prove myself, but how can i ever be hired if i have periods of no work in my resume? Thank You.
