Dear Guys,

I am new here and is not familiar with the term named PHP . what is the main purpose of it . Would anybody share their valuable comments on it .

PHP stands for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP is a server-side scripting language, like ASP. PHP scripts are executed on the server. PHP supports many databases (MySQL, Informix, Oracle, Sybase, Solid, PostgreSQL, Generic ODBC, etc.).

PHP is used for developing websites, it is an open source and have CMS like joomla, wordpress etc. .

It stands for Hypertext Preprocessor, and I believed that PHP is really a powerful programming language.

PHP actually stands for "Hypertext Pre-Processor", but HPP didn't sound as good. But what exactly is a pre-processor? In fact, it is somewhat exactly as it sounds. It is an engine that processes some commands before the Web browser shows up and asks for the Web page.
