Hi, I'm totally new to wireless networking but would love to try this out. I'm wondering what pcmcia card to buy for my laptop that people would recommend...preferably i want one with an aerial socket so i can perhaps make/buy an aerial later....or do i need an aerial? I just haven't a clue which have these, and what other factors to take into consideration. What do people recommend, and where can i buy one in brighton/hove? I'm hoping to spend around £50 or less as im on a limited budget btw...
Also..i live at the top of a large regency house one building in from the seafront just west of the west pier, and would be very interested in hosting a node in the future, although i don't even have broadband atm, and as i only rent the property, would have to check with landlord if it's ok. I guess what i'd like to know is if i'm too far away from the beach...i guess it must be about 80m away. Well, just registering my interest anyway ______________________________ summer camps nonprofit consulting |
