Default Yahoo search marketing?

Hello

Does anyone know if the yahoo search marketing (formally overture) does in anyway affect the natural listings on yahoo.
I have been running a PPC campaign with yahoo for some time and my natural listing has steadily got better. I suspended my PPC campaign about 2 weeks ago and in that time my natural listing has slipped from page 2 to page 11 for my specific keyword search. Coincidence? Any ideas
I have lost all faith in the yahoo search engine, I cannot see any logical reason why my organic ranking has plummeted from page 2 to page 11 for my chosen keyword. Also bear in mind that my website is ranked on page 2 of google and page 2 of msn! I have done all the keyword, meta tags, sitemap etc work to get up the rankings and the only thing that has changed is my postponement of the PPC campaign with Yahoo.

The search engines want to show the best results possible. One of thier methods is website popularty. The more people view your site the more popular it is. That is pretty much the reason for your lose of organice traffic.

There is no link whatsoever. However with the organic rankings we have found that Yahoo will index new sites comparatively high compared to say Google. Meaning your site could be being pushed down by newer sites that are using SEO techniques.

Just make sure you are building new links to your site as often as possible and make the content reflect your keywords.

Default Yahoo search marketing

Yahoo! Search Marketing is a keyword-based "Pay per click" or "Sponsored search" Internet advertising service provided by yahoo
Yahoo began offering this service after acquiring Overture Services, Inc. (formerly GoTo.com). GoTo.com was an Idealab spin off and was the first company to successfully provide a pay-for-placement search service following previous attempts that were not well received.
