Default Is that true that using of anti virus software will make the computer

becomes slower?? My notebook became slower after I download AVG anti virus a few days ago...Internet access, open up files and start up of the windows are really slow..It makes me frustrated...Can anyone gives me advices??

Any software running will make a process that uses up memory (you can see how much if you CTRL + ALT + DEL and look at the processes running), and antivirus programs usually use up quite a bit. It shouldn't be too noticeable however, unless you are currently running a scan or something. Try changing some of the settings to see if it runs faster.

completely scan the laptop and use one antivirus for one system adn not more than one it may slow down your pc also and download from a trusted site only

It's not, i guess. Using antivirus is the same as protecting your computer against unwanted threats and problems.

Using anti virus programs like norton really slows down your computer.
I am using Avast and so far I have no problems.

Antivirus programs usually take up a lot of disk space.
You should get one that takes relatively less space, something like Avast. I'm using it and so far my computer has not slowed down.

Older pc may cause the problem.O you should update your anti virus and scan whole computer.

Yes it is true due to anti-virus check the computer files if there is any viruses on the memory.
