I can't imagine eset nod32 slowing down your pc. It's only got a 35MB memory footprint with the latest version. If it's bogging down your computer than something else is already wrong with your system - unless you did not completely remove your old anti-virus from your system before attempting to install eset. A software conflict between anti-virus programs 'could' have that result though usually it tends to result in both programs being silently innefective.

Especially if you had Norton/Symantec products visit the company website and search for an "uninstaller tool". Yes, the software is poorly written enough that they need to build special uninstall tools to remove it if the built in uninstaller breaks.

I'm dissapointed I don't see Nod32 getting much mention in benchmark tests in North America... It definitely is a top competitor and possibly the best A/V tool out there. Blazing fast scanning, one of the best track records for catching virus's in the wild before they're defined thanks to its fantastic heuristic scanning.. It's definitely worth the price (around $70 for a 2 year membership?)

What are like most are the pushed updates that are released to you as soon as a new virus is defined rather than hourly or daily updates.
