If you are not happy with AVG then try Avast or NOD 32. They are very efficient and reliable anti-virus to use.

Yeah. You have to remove one of them because both of them can't protect your system at a time and if in future ant problem occurs than you can also lost your data. So better to have only one security.

I personally recommend you to use only one Anti Virus in your Opertaing System.But you have to update it on once a week.
