Yesterday I downloaded Anit-Spyware (can't remember the name of it) and it removed several things from my computer that were supposed to be bad. Today, my computer wouldn't restart properly without removing new downloads and restoring the computer to the way it was before this was added. What went wrong and what should I do?

it sounds like the files you deleted were components of windows that got infected or whatever software you have. i suggest downloading avast antivirus software. you can set the sensitivity and scan selected aread if you want. go to http://download.com and search for avast and then download it. i also suggest going to http://ccleaner.com and download that. run it everytime you close your browser. i also suggest getting Zonealarm Firewall, Spybot Search and destroy, SUPERAntispyware as well.(google those programs to download them from sites) 2 of those are adware/spyware scanners and can remove spyware. it is always good to have more than one antispyware. make sure you update these daily. and as for AVG, i have had so many problems with that program. when i go to update it, the file says it is "corrupt and needs to be reinstalled" alot i got so sick of that run these scanners daily to prevent problems like this from happening in the future! ESPECIALLY ccleaner! good luck
