Right now I'm using Comodo, but I want something where I won't have to grant permission every five seconds for programs to access the internet. Is there a free easy good firewall that can do that?

PCtools firewall is rubbish. See http://www.matousec.com/projects/firewall-challenge/results.php for more details of which are good and which aren't.

I use Comodo, and love it. The alerts are probably from Defense+; to turn it off right click on the Comodo icon in the taskbar, and change the Defense+ security level to disabled.
