i have a windows 98 & i'm looking for a very good anti virus protection. but the problem is that i don't have a credit card or a checking accountant to get to download norton & that's supposed to be the best. could someone please help me out.

norton is one of the worst sorry to tell you that but its true but they do make the most money because everyone knows them but compared to the following FREE anti viruses nothing is nothing but a system hog
Avast Avg get one or the other i recommend Avast but it does slow you down a little bit AVG is good too google them

No Norton is definatley not the best!
Use avg http://www.grisoft.com also heres the programs i had back when i used windows, i prefered 98 to 2000 xp etc so theyll all work. Opera web browser (email client and popup blocker combined) Avg antivirus Ad aware free for antispyware (I think that the win98 version no longer gets updates so ill just pass on what a friend said, and reccomend spybot) tiny personal firewall (this is the smallest firewall ive used, most take a few hundred mhz constantly and this is barely noticable in the background)
