Hi,
I am using Windows XP Pro and have already setup a FTP service in IIS. In IIS FTP, I have disabled the anonymous access and this means each user must have a user account before they can use the FTP service. Now I have created a group called FTPUsers and I plan to add all FTP users to this group and then use this group to enforce the permissions However, as you know, every newly created user is by default already assigned to the Users group. Some documentations state that I should remove the Users group from the FTP users and only add them to the FTPUsers group. This approach is strange, for example, if my account Peter is removed from the Users group and only add it to the FTPUsers group, then I can no longer login and use my computer because my Peter account won't even appear in the login screen anymore. So what's the point of adding FTP users *only* to the FTPUsers group? Thanks so much for your help.
