I've heard buzz about Vista causing numerous problems for users. Most people using it now don't seem to like it. What exactly is wrong with it? If it's so bad, why would it be allowed to be on the market? Even auto manufacturers recall flawed designs!

Ok , for me main thing is it is utilizing lot of resources which can run 10 linux servers for the same resources..

it takes lot of memory for loading the os itself and with more than one gb ram it will work somewhat fine and it supports only all latest version of drivers and all so nothing new in vista only appearance

My Vista system can be very slow at times. And I haven't encountered any major problems, but it does have trouble reading burned/copied CDs and DVDs. Not sure if this is a safety feature or if I can fix it by resetting some of the settings perhaps.
The main thing is that it's harder to use, I can't rely as much on intuitional clicking and get what I need, unlike with XP. |

Recently I was trying to burn some folders to a CD and they just disappeared and nothing was on the CD. It took me a few days to find them in My Pictures, and I still think that Vista was more behind the mistake than I was, because I watched my mouse's every movement.
