Yes. If the other offer is a better offer. Maybe cash or no contingencies. Your offer may have a mortgage contingency, or maybe you have to sell your house first, or you want a number of inspections, etc. Unless your offer is in writing and signed by both buyer and seller, you are vulnerable to lose the deal.
