the seller accept the offer now where waiting for the bank to respond, how much longer should it take? the mls # shows the house is under contract which is my offer. They had no other offer. what can we do to hurry up the process I really love this house and want it, any idea's?
For any one that bought a house being sold as a short sale how long did it take? the listing price was 185k we offer 180k and asked for 4% for closeing cost. The are a lot of homes for sale in te area

This is the disadvantage of working with REO's and short sales, you are at the mercy of the lender and/or loss mitigation department.
You can do nothing to hurry up the process. Some loss mitigation depts and companies are very brisk, you can close in 30 days. Some are painfully slow, and it can take 3 months to close.
