Why do DUMB PEOPLE on EBAY bid so early?
Do these people not understand that if you WAIT until the last day to bid, the end price will be WAY lower? I really want to slap these people who drive up the EBAY prices and bid like a week before the auction ends. Don't you?

Maybe they don't care that much about what they're buying, or they don't want to forget to bid on it. Unless I really care about the item I bid on (which isn't very often) I bid when I see it on a whimsy, if I don't win, meh. It doesn't change the winning bid if I bid 5 days in advance or 7 seconds if my max bid is x and yours is x+1.
