...mention a head gasket faliure? Few days ago I bought a car at Manhaim auction. But the auctioneer didn't mention that the car had a gasket failiure. I struggled to get home with the car. Brought the car to a local garage to check whats wrong with it. The mechanic said that the repair will cost more than 700£, more than the car is worth.
The mechanic told me that, 10-15years ago when cars were bought on auctions you get what you see, and can not return it. And now that there is a law that they can't sell a car without mentioning what is wrong with it. And could return it. I called them, they're insisting they didnt know what was wrong with it as the guy who put it on auction didnt tell them. now waiting for them to call me back to see whats going to happen. I can not afford to pay over 700£ on repairs, what are my options? CAN I RETURN THE CAR TO THE AUCTION?
