Hardware Specs for Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

After my previous post about Windows 7, Quick Launch Menu and XP/Vista Compatibility Mode, I got couple of emails asking what type of hardware I am using and other specifications with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit edition. I built new PC in 2008 so most of the hardware is pretty much new.

Here is the list of components:

AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 Windsor 2.8GHz Socket AM2 Dual Core Processor

Motherboard
ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Video Card
EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card

Memory/RAM
Crucial Ballistix 4GB (4 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit

So far performance of this hardware has been extremely solid with Windows XP Pro as well as Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I do plan on upgrading the memory to 8GB, add another 500GB hard drive in mirror RAID-01 and upgrade the CPU to something current from AMD.
